September 11?

Yesterday marked the 4th year of an unforgettable day in the history of the
United State of America. A day in which thousands of people- (citizens and non citizens)
Lost their lives for the sake of this dear nation called Gods own country.

The day September 11,
It is a day.......
Where people lost their love ones for the sake of hatred
Towards a particular race.
Where people lost valuable items, goods and property
All in the name of terrorism.
Where places of history are shattered and destroyed to
Be rebuilt no more.

The day September 11,
To others it is a day……
To rejoice over an avenged enemy.
Where a long term plan has been achieved.

The day September 11
A day of mixed feeling
A day where people never want that kind of history to repeat itself
A day you would think of and tears would drop from your eyes.

Oh, September 11……………..
I pray such never happen again.
To those who have course to be sorrowful,
I deeply sympathize with them.
And I also pray that the Terrorism never take over our world any more.

The internet and the world wide web

THE INTERNET AND THE WORLD WIDE WEB.

Many people use the terms Internet and World Wide

Web (a.k.a. the Web) interchangeably, but in fact

the two terms are not synonymous. The Internet and

the Web are two separate but related things.
The Internet is a massive network of networks, a

networking infrastructure. It connects millions of

computers together globally, forming a network in

which any computer can communicate with any other

computer as long as they are both connected to the

Internet. Information that travels over the

Internet does so via a variety of languages known

as protocols.

The World Wide Web, or simply Web, is a way of

accessing information over the medium of the

Internet. It is an information-sharing model that

is built on top of the Internet. The Web uses the

HTTP protocol, only one of the languages spoken

over the Internet, to transmit data. Web services,

which use HTTP to allow applications to communicate

in order to exchange business logic, use the the

Web to share information. The Web also utilizes

browsers, such as Internet Explorer or Netscape, to

access Web documents called Web pages that are

linked to each other via hyperlinks. Web documents

also contain graphics, sounds, text and video.

The Web is just one of the ways that information

can be disseminated over the Internet. The

Internet, not the Web, is also used for e-mail,

which relies on SMTP, Usenet news groups, instant

messaging and FTP. So the Web is just a portion of

the Internet, albeit a large portion, but the two

terms are not synonymous and should not be

confused.

The protocol determines the following:

1.The type of error checking to be used.

2.Data compression method, if any.

3.How the sending device will indicate that it has

finished sending a message.

4.How the receiving device will indicate that it

has received a message.

Browser is a software application used to locate

and display Web pages. The two most popular

browsers are Netscape Navigator and Microsoft

Internet Explorer. Both of these are graphical

browsers, which means that they can display

graphics as well as text. In addition, most modern

browsers can present multimedia information,

including sound and video, though they require

plug-ins for some formats.

INTRANET

A network based on TCP/IP protocols (an internet)

belonging to an organization, usually a

corporation, accessible only by the organization's

members, employees, or others with authorization.

An intranet's Web sites look and act just like any

other Web sites, but the firewall surrounding an

intranet fends off unauthorized access.

EXTRANET

A buzzword that refers to an intranet that is

partially accessible to authorized outsiders.

Whereas an intranet resides behind a firewall and

is accessible only to people who are members of the

same company or organization, an extranet provides

various levels of accessibility to outsiders. You

can access an extranet only if you have a valid

username and password, and your identity determines

which parts of the extranet you can view.
Extranets are becoming a very popular means for

business partners to exchange information.

I really do believe I can accomplish a great deal with a big grin, I
know some people find that disconcerting, but that doesn't matter.
-- Beverly Sills

Nothing contributes so much to tranquilizing the mind as a steady
purpose - a point on which the soul may fix its intellectual eye.
-- Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley

Don't part with your illusions. When they are gone you may still exist,
